What everyone asks.
Can I rent with a licence from another country?
Yes. In Colombia a valid licence from your own country works for tourists and people in transit for up to 6 months, under article 25 of Law 769 of 2002. We do not ask for an international driving permit and there is no minimum licence age. The minimum driver age with us is 25.
What happens if I crash the car?
The full coverage insurance added to your rate covers 80 % of the vehicle value against total loss, partial loss and theft, and the driver takes the remaining 20 %. Third party liability depends on the vehicle and is written into the contract. Partial damage has no fixed price list: it is quoted and shown to you before anything is charged.
How much is the deposit and when do I get it back?
It is 30 % of the total rental, taken when you collect the car and not when you book. Credit card or bank transfer, returned 15 days after you hand the car back. That window exists because traffic fines are notified weeks later and are deducted from the deposit.
My flight lands at 11 p.m. Will you still deliver the car?
Yes. The office runs from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and within those hours delivery at El Dorado costs nothing extra. Outside them we still deliver: message us on WhatsApp and we will arrange it around your flight. WhatsApp is answered 24 hours.
What is the final price?
Rates start from $139,000 COP a day for a manual, from $195,000 for an automatic, from $259,000 for an automatic SUV and from $379,000 for the seven-seater. Insurance is added on top, at 10 % of the vehicle rate. The total depends on the car and the number of days, and we confirm it on WhatsApp before you book.
