How it works, start to finish.
You book
We confirm the car, the dates and the total on WhatsApp. No deposit is paid when you book.
You pick up the car
That's when you leave 30% of the total rental price, by credit card or bank transfer in the driver's name.
You return the car
With the fuel at the same level it had when you got it.
Day 15
The deposit is returned. If a traffic fine from your rental dates arrived, it is deducted; if there were none, it comes back in full.
What happens if…
…I get a camera fine or a traffic ticket?
The notice goes to the company, which owns the car, and the contract shows who had it at that time. The amount is deducted from the deposit. Tickets can be checked on SIMIT with an ID number or the plate.
…the fine arrives after I've left Colombia?
It is still deducted from the deposit if the offence happened during your rental. That's why the deposit isn't returned the day you drop off the car.
…there were no fines at all?
The deposit comes back in full, 15 days after you return the car.
…I crash or the car gets damaged?
Full-coverage insurance covers 80% of total and partial loss; the remaining 20% is paid by the driver. Partial damage has no fixed price list: it is quoted and you are told before anything is charged.
…the car is stolen?
Full-coverage insurance covers 80% of the vehicle's value in case of theft. The remaining 20% is paid by the driver.
…the car breaks down on the road?
Full-coverage insurance includes 24/7 roadside assistance across the country for the whole rental. And our WhatsApp is answered 24 hours a day.
…someone is injured in an accident?
That is covered by SOAT, the mandatory insurance every car in Colombia carries: medical costs, permanent disability, death and funeral costs, and transport of the injured, regardless of who was at fault.
…I don't have a credit card?
The deposit can also be paid by bank transfer.
…I want to drive to Ecuador or Venezuela?
You can't: leaving the country is not allowed. Within Colombia you can drive anywhere.

SOAT
Comes with the car
- Covers people: medical costs, disability, death and transport of the injured.

Good to know.
- The deposit payment must be in the name of the person who drives and signs the contract.
- Return the car with the same fuel level it had when you got it.
- For long trips, a daily mileage limit is agreed when you book.
- Respect pico y placa: cameras detect it and the fine is deducted from the deposit.
- Taking the car out of the country is not allowed.
