Monthly car rental in Bogotá: how the 21 + 7 deal works

Short answer: at Andes Auto Rental, if you book 21 days, the next 7 are on us. That is 28 days for the price of 21, with the same rates all year and no high-season increase.

This guide explains how it is calculated, what is added to the rate and what to know before keeping a rental car for a whole month in Bogotá: pico y placa, mileage, the deposit and traffic camera fines.

How the 21 + 7 deal works

• Book 21 days and get 7 days free: you use the car for 28 days and pay for 21.
• Under 21 days, each day is charged at the regular rate.
• It applies to the whole fleet, from the Mahindra KUV 100 to the 7-seat Jetour X70 Plus.
• For more than 28 days, message us and we will send you the quote.

The deal does not change in December, Holy Week or the mid-year holidays: the rate is the same all year.

How much a one-month car rental costs

With the deal, 28 days cost the same as 21 days at the daily rate. These are the starting rates for each category, before insurance:

Full-coverage insurance is added to the rate and equals 10 % of the rate of the vehicle you choose. It covers 80 % in total loss, partial loss and theft, and includes 24/7 nationwide roadside assistance.

How to book and what you pay at pickup

• Booking: 30 % of the rental price.
• Security deposit: the amount depends on the vehicle and is paid when you pick up the car. It comes back 12 to 15 business days after you return it.
• Payment methods: credit card (card terminal or payment link), bank transfer to Davivienda or Bancolombia, or wallets such as Nequi, Daviplata, Dale and NuBank.

Pico y placa on a one-month rental

Fleet cars have Bogotá plates, so pico y placa applies as it does to any private car: Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., depending on the last digit of the plate and whether the date is odd or even.

Mileage, trips and fuel

• Unlimited mileage in Bogotá and the surrounding area. For long trips, a daily limit is agreed when you book.
• Drive anywhere in Colombia, with one limit: the car cannot leave the country.
• Same-level fuel: return the car with the tank as you received it.

Pickup at El Dorado Airport

If you fly in, we hand you the car at El Dorado Airport. If your flight is delayed, we wait for you and track the flight. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; outside those hours we also deliver, arranged on WhatsApp.
